BRADLEY, Angie (Skaggs)

Mrs. Angie Skaggs Bradley, 42, wife of W. N. Bradley, died Sunday night at the Bradley home at Lowmansville following an illness on 9 months. Funeral was conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the Chestnut Grove Church with Rev. Brack Skaggs, of Lowmansville and Rev. Bird Webb of Ulysses officiating. Deceased, a daughter of Lewis M. Skaggs and the late Hester Griffith Skaggs. She had been a member of the Freewill Baptist Church for 15 years. Surviving besides the father and husband, are 2 sisters, Mrs. Charles Deboard of Greasy Ridge, OH and Mrs. Will Burton of Louisa route 2, and 3 brothers, Charles Skaggs, of Akron, OH, and Burns and John Skaggs of Columbus, OH. Roscoe DeBoard

Roscoe DeBoard, 65, died Thursday, May 30, in Doctors Hospital at Columbus, OH after an extended illness. Born in Lawrence County on March 2, 1903, he was the son of thelate John and Mary Jane Griffith DeBoard. He was a resident of Galloway, OH at the time of his death and was married to the former Minnie McKenzie, who survives. Additional survivors include seven sons, Roscoe Eugene of Columbus, OH, Edd Thomas and John of Galloway, OH, Russell of Fairfield, CA, Robert of Fort Jackson, SC, Vernon and Charles of Dayton, OH; three daughters, Mrs. Catherine Scalf of Hilliards, OH, Mrs. Mary Leming of Columbus, OH, and Miss Irene DeBoard of Galloway, OH, and twelve grandchildren. Also fourteen brothers and sisters, Mrs. Carrie perkins of Tramm, Mrs. Brooksie Hurt of Columbus, OH, Olive, Marxine, Marie and Ann Debaord, Orlie DeBoard of Middletown, OH, Willard DeBoard of Tutor Key, Ervin DeBoard of Columbus, OH, Wilbur, Paul and Dean DeBoard of Baltimore, MD, John DeBoard, Jr., of Louisa, and Everett DeBoard of Phoenix, AZ. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, June 2 in the Chestnut Grove Enterprise Baptist Church with Rev. Ellis Hamilton officiating. Interment followed in the Joe Allen Cemetery at Lowmansville. The Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Roscoe Eugene, Ed Thomas, Russel, Robert, John Vernon, and Charles DeBoard and Charles Scalf. Leck Davis, age 70, died at his home at West Van Lear Monday night, following an illness of several months. He was a well known and prominent man of the county and a member of one of the oldest families of the Big Sandy Valley. He was a son of the late Judge Bracken L.
