Funeral services for William D. Chadwick, 89, Star Route, Louisa, farmer, school teacher and former postmaster, were conducted Tuesday afternoon in Young Funeral Home by ministers, Fred Vanhorn and James A. Hayes. Burial was in Chadwick Cemetery. Mr. Chadwick died October 4 in Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born November 13, 1885, at Cadmus, KY, a son of the late James Knox Chadwick and Castara Bolt Chadwick. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dova Belcher Chadwick; one daughter, Mrs. Dempsey Bradley of Louisa and one son, James Chadwick of Star Route; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Mrs. Chadwick died May 12 in Louisa Community Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Chadwick was born November 17, 1881, in Lawrence County, a daughter of the late William and Jane Neal Belcher. She was a member of Green Valley Methodist Church. Her husband, William D. Chadwick died in 1975. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Dempsey Bradley of Louisa; a son, James Kermit Chadwick of Louisa; a sister, Mrs. Della Haws of Dayton, 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Ernest T. Webb, 57, of Webbville, died at 4:1- a.m. Sunday at his home following an illness of one year. Mr. Webb was born September 28, 1896, a son of Mart Webb and the late Ona Chadwick Webb. He was a farmer and former Lawrence County Sheriff's Deputy. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Dennis Chapel with the Rev. Fred Vanhorn and the Rev. Jack Perry officiating. Burial followed in Chadwick Cemetery at Cadmus. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Nona Cooksey Webb; a daughter, Mrs. John W. Bays of Webbville; two sons, Elmo Webb of Buchanan, KY, and Kenton Webb of Dennis, KY; the father, now of Gladys, two sisters, Mrs. Chester Sawyer of Webbville, route 1 and Mrs. E.T. Funeral services for Dennis native, Mrs. Nona Cooksey Webb, 80, of Ashland, were conducted Monday, January 29 in Dennis Chapel by the Rev. Jack Perry and the Rev. Fred VanHorn. Burial was in Chadwick Cemetery. Mrs. Webb died January 26 in King's Daughters' Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Webb was born September 12, 1898 at Dennis, the daughter of the late Andy and Lillie Christian Cooksey. She had resided in Ashland for 7 years and was a member of the Church of God. Her husband, Ernest Webb, died in 1954. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Roberta Smith of route 1, Webbville, a son, Kenton Webb of Route 6, Ashland, a sister, Mrs. Ada Wright of Chillicothe, OH; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
