Mrs. Sparks was born July 19, 1936 in Elliott County, Kentucky a daughter of the late Jess and Rena Sparks Gilliam.
Evon was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one son; Randall Sparks.
She is survived by her husband Conard Sparks of Martha, Kentucky, one daughter; Kathy Skaggs of Lowansville, Kentucky, one sister; Carol Fannin of Martha, Kentucky. Two grandsons; Randy Sparks and Cody Williams both of Martha, Kentucky. Two great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends who will sadly mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2015 at Waddell & Whitt Funeral Home in Sandy Hook with Bro. Roosevelt Fannin and Bro. Gary Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in the Sparks Cemetery at Martha.
Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Monday until the service hour at the funeral home.

Noah Sparks, 94, of Martha, passed away Friday, May 27, 2011, in the Jo-Lin Health Center in Ironton, Ohio. Mr. Sparks was born October 3, 1916, in Martha, the son of the late Will and Bertha Barker Sparks.
He was a former railroad worker and an Army World War II Veteran. He is survived by two sons, Hubert Sparks of Vidor, Texas, and Les Sparks of Beaumont, Texas; three daughters, Alice Watson of Sabina, Ohio, Ethel Baker of New Boston, Ohio, and Eileen Depuy of Chillicothe, Ohio; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. There will be a graveside service Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Sparks Family Cemetery on Pigeon Roost Road in Martha. Friends may call Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home in Sandy Hook.
