  Louisa – Mrs. Vilinda Keaton Barkers, 80, died of a heart attack yesterday afternoon at her home on Route 3. Mrs. Barker was born December 12, 1877, at Relief, KY., a daughter of the late Moveta and Rebecca Lester Keaton.  She was a member of the Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Enterprise Baptist Church, Smoky Valley, with the Rev. Al Bradley of Relief officiating, assisted by the Rev. Willie Sparks of Maizie, KY.  Burial will be in Roberts Cemetery.
Survivors include the husband, J. M. Barker; two daughters, Mrs. T. N. Smith of Blaine, KY, and Mrs. Finley Hanks of Campton, KY one stepdaughter, Mrs. Parish Skaggs of Wheelersburg, O.; five sons, Harold Bond of Louisa, Charles Bond of Toledo, O., William Smith of Portsmouth, OH., Lige Smith of Paintsville, KY., and Ora Smith of Toledo; five sisters, Mrs. R. H. Ferguson and Mrs. John Cantrell of Relief, Mrs. Ira Smith of Van Lear, KY., Mrs. James Montgomery of Paintsville, and Mrs. Oscar Stapleton of West Van Lear; one brother, Louis Keaton of Paintsville; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. The body has been removed from the Curtright Funeral Home to the residence.

Rev. Harold Bond, 73, of route 1, Louisa, was dead on arrival at Humana Hospital Louisa Wednesday Feb 15. He was born Jun 7, 1915 at Martha, a son of the late William and Vilinda Keaton Bond. He was a member of the Spencer Freewill Baptist Church and a retired employee of the Louisa Carpet Mill. His first wife Opal Damron Bond died in 1973. Surviving are his second wife, Tressie McBrayer Bond; 2 daughters, Mrs. Mary Kitts, Louisa; Mrs. Thelma Fugett, Grayson, KY; 2 sons: Charles Bond, route 1, Louisa; and William Bond, Columbus, OH; a sister: Vergie Hanks, Mt. Sterling, KY; a half brother: Ora Smith, Hilliard, OH; 17 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; a daughter and son predeceased him: Linda Moore and Harold Edgel Bond. Mr. Moore died Monday, February 12, at St. Mary's Hospital, Huntington following an extended illness. He was born November 23, 1935 in Adams, son of the late Jim and Eva Blackburn Moore. He was retired from Louisa Carpet Mill and was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lou Bond Moore, who died in 1979.
