Garland, Fugitt, 41, of route 1, Louisa, died Tuesday, August 10, in a Lexington, KY hospital. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday from the Cynthia Chapel Church near Louisa, with the Rev. Harold Stevens officiating. Burial was in the Wooten Cemetery there. Born April 3, 1930, in Lawrence County, he was a son of Bill and Mary McCoy Fugitt of route 1, Louisa. Additional survivors include five daughters, Lynn, Lisa, Tammy, Teresa, and Machell Fugitt, and two sons, Roger and Larry Fugitt, all of Route 1, Louisa, four sisters, Mrs. John Daniels and Mrs. Donald Short of Fort Gay, WV, Mrs. Carlos Daniels of Bloomfield, NJ and Mrs. James Clay of Louisa, and two brothers, Junior Fugitt of Columbus, OH and Earl Fugitt of Louisa. Mrs. Gracie Belle Fugitt, 88, of Louisa Route 1, died in a Lexington hospital Tuesday night, September 4. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday from the Young Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gallie Isaac officiating. Burial was in the Wallace Cemetery on Louisa Route 1. Mrs. Fugitt was born January 3, 1874, a daughter of the late Daniel and Mary Jane Meeks Robinette. James Ray Fugett, Jr., 66 of Columbus, OH, formerly of Louisa, died Sunday May 9 in Regency Manor Nursing Home. Mr. Fugett was born Oct 26, 1926, a son of Bill and Mary McCoy Fugett of Louisa. He was a construction worker. Graveside services were conducted Monday, May 10 at Wooten Cemetery, route 1, Louisa by Rev. Kay Thompson, Jr. Surviving in addition to his mother are 4 sons, Harold Gene Fugett, James Fugett, Danny Fugett and Buddy Fugett all of Columbus, OH, 3 sisters, Myrtle Daniels and Ruby Short both of Louisa, and Imogene Daniels of Fort Gay; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lucy Pigg Meade, 76, died at the home of her son, Edward Meade, 314 S. 4th Street, Columbus, OH, October 3, at 8:45 p.m. after an illness of about two years.  She formerly lived at Louisa, but lived in Columbus the past three months. Her husband, William H. Meade, died in 1931. She was born at Louisa route 1, January 1, 1882, a daughter of the late Felix and Louisa Wooten Pigg. She had been a member of the Methodist Church for 60 years. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, October 7 at 10:30 a.m. from the Curtright Funeral Home with the Rev. William W. Moore officiating. Burial was made in the Wooten Cemetery, Route 1, Louisa. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Wayne D. Blankenship, Urbana, OH; three sisters, Mrs. Gypsy Pack, Martin, KY, Mrs. Charles Borders, and Mrs. Cora Ball, Huntington, WV, three brothers, Grant Pigg and Ben Pigg, route 1, Louisa and Edward Pigg, Hellier, KY. Mr. Morgan was born in Birmingham, AL, a son of the late Henry and Laura Hensley Morgan. He was a retired coal miner and construction worker.
