Funeral services for Edgle Jay Estep, 67, Louisa, will be conducted Dec 14 at Spencer Free Will Baptist Church with burial in Moore Cemetery. Mr. Estep died Dec 12, 1983 in Humana Hospital Louisa, following an extended illness. Mr. Estep was born Apr 9, 1916 in Lawrence County, son of the late James Estep and Rebecca May Estep. He was a retired foundry laborer. Survivors include his wife, Pearlene Moore Estep, 4 daughters, Mrs. Mattie Davis of Columbus, Mrs. Ruth West of Mechanicsburg, OH, Mrs. Emmajean Hopper of Urbana, OH, and Mrs. Diana Grim of Louisa, 3 sons, Russell Estep and Dennis Estep, both of Louisa and Edgle Estep of Springfield, OH; 2 sisters, Mrs. Lesta Robinette and Mrs. Lula Thompson, both of Louisa, 1 brother, Kay Estep, Louisa, 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Lawrence county native, Matthew Moore, 62, of Oak Hill, OH were conducted January 11 in Spencer Freewill Baptist Church, route 3, Louisa by the Rev. John Fraley and the Rev. Kay Thompson. Burial was in Moore Cemetery. He died January 8 in Oak Hill Hospital. He was born in Lawrence County, KY, to the late Harrison and Myrtie McCarty Moore, and was a member of the Spencer Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Mrs. Bernice Thompson Moore; four sons, Eugene K. of Portsmouth, OH, Randall and Terry of Oak Hill, OH and Gary of Jackson, OH; three daughters, Phyllis Hall, Lorrain McGuire and tiny Moore, all of Oak Hill; three brothers, Wilson Moore, rout 3, Louisa, Levi Moore, Grove City, OH and Dave Moore of Ashville, OH; eight sisters, Mrs. Belva Howard and Mrs. Pauline Hayes of route 1, Louisa, Mrs. Pearline Estep of route 3, Louisa, Mrs. Zora Anders of Columbus, Mrs. Edith Thompson of Ashville, OH, Mrs. Ann Ward of Ashtabula, OH, Mrs. Ellen Marie Pack of Great Bend, KS and Mrs. Ethel Pack of Mechanicsburg, OH; 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
